Jointsteine
Jointsteine sind Abziehsteine, die vor allem in der Holzindustrie zum Jointen der Schneidmesser eines Messerkopfes einer Holzbearbeitungsmaschine eingesetzt werden. Um die Schneiden von Schneidmessern eines rotierenden Werkzeuges auf einen gemeinsamen Flugkreis zu bringen, wird ein Jointstein an das Werkzeug herangeführt und mit ihm die Schneiden abgezogen oder geschliffen.
Die Form des Jointsteins hängt dabei von der Werkzeugaufnahme der jeweiligen Holzbearbeitungsmaschine (z.B. Weinig) ab, die Material und Körnung des Jointsteins richten sich nach dem jeweils eingesetzten Messer (z.B. Kanfusa).

JOINTING STONES
Jointing stones are whetstones that are used above all in the woodworking industry for the jointing of the cutting blades of a cutting head of a woodworking machine. To adjust the cutting edges of the blades of a rotary cutting tool to a common cutting circle, a jointing stone is advanced to the tool and the cutting edges are ground and sharpened with it.
The form of the jointing stone depends on the tool holder of the respective woodworking machine (e.g. Weinig), while the material and grit of the jointing stone are tailored to the respective blade that is in use (e.g. Kanfusa).
