The production of abrasives is subject to various standards.
These are, for example, ANSI (R1988) in the USA or JIS R 6001-1998, B74,10-1977 in Japan. In Europe there is the FEPA standard DIN 69101-1985, according to which we manufacture and designate our products.
It is important to know here that the designations are very different in the various standards and are not directly comparable with one another. For example, a 320 grit in the FEPA standard would be a 600 grit in Japan and a 360 grit in the USA.
Our classification designates the grits
from 20 to 46 as very coarse,
from 60 to 100 as coarse,
from 120 to 180 as medium,
from 220 to 280 as fine and
from 320 to 800 as very fine.
